VideoLatitude Overview
VideoLatitude is a breakthrough solution to capture, transmit, share and display real-time video over global wireless networks.
To efficiently achieve that goal, VideoLatitude uses three components: VideoLatitude Live to capture and transmit live video
from a mobile environment, VideoLatitude Dispatch Server to manage and share the video streams and VideoLatitude Client
to display the video streams on a computer screen.
This simple and robust architecture, described in the diagram below, provides several advantages in mobile and secure applications:
- Bandwidth usage optimization: VideoLatitude uses the network efficiently by requiring VideoLatitude Live to send the video stream only once even if several users are watching it simultaneously. The video stream is replicated on the VideoLatitude Dispatch Server. It optimizes the bandwidth used on the wireless network between the remote sites and the Dispatch Server regardless of the number of connected users.
- Easy management and monitoring: The VideoLatitude dispatch server includes a Web-based interface to perform complete fleet management in a user-friendly manner. It allows the fleet administrator to view all currently active connections and audit information about all accesses to the system.
- Scalability: several Dispatch Server solutions are proposed to meet your requirements today and to grow with your needs in the future. VideoLatitude Dispatch Servers can support from one to several hundred live video streams!

VideoLatitude Components
VideoLatitude Live
VideoLatitude Live is the IP video encoder. It captures the video stream from a camera, compresses it and sends it
through the network to the VideoLatitude Dispatch Server. It is compatible with all the existing analog CCTV cameras
and with digital cameras with WDM-compliant drivers. It is provided as a software compatible with the majority of PCs
running Windows, or as a full hardware turnkey solution, such as a pocket size or tablet PC, or a car barebone
computer operating as a blackbox running from the car's power.

VideoLatitude Dispatch Server
VideoLatitude Dispatch Server is the access point for the users who want to get real-time video from remote sites
equipped with VideoLatitude Live. It acts like a multicast point which shares the video, audio and data between the
connected users. It is easily manageable by the fleet administrators through a secure web interface. It is available
in 3 sizes, according to your needs, or as a secure hosted service on our dedicated servers.
